Preamble

Nigeria as a country boosts of several millions commercial Transporters made up of Taxi drivers running within States, Cities, Townships and rural areas. This include Lorries, Ferries, Airplane, Trains, Canoe, Taxis, Motorcycle riders popularly called Okada, and other means of mobility.

In Nigeria as a whole, the transport sector has proven to be the most potent and busiest sector with huge financial and human involvement. Since 1993, the transport sector has proven effective in bringing governance to stand- still whenever they choose to go on strikes. This is because the sector is responsible for the constant movement of humans, goods and services from one location to another.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the epoch making week-long event among others include

  • To detect and develop sporting talents capable of representing the country at international meets as to winning laurels.
  • To promote the spirit of oneness amongst the vast population of the transporters family in the country
  • To enhance business value in sports, increasing the government’s IGR and the national GDP
  • To enhance the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR amongst all Transporters
    to transporters throughout the gateway state.
